Iheanyi Ngwaba aka Blackliquid is a multi-genred music composer, producer, remixer, non-linear sound editor/designer, international disc jockey and video editor/producer.
After developing his perfomance skill set in London, UK as a blues drummer and improv singer, sound system/club DJ and an experimental electronic music performer, he moved to Los Angeles and was taken under the wing of Ashley Ingram, internationally acclaimed writer and producer. From here he went on to develop young electronic music producers and a private curriculum for budding disc jockeys. As a renowned house music DJ he has played for some of the top names in clubbing culture. Most notable were Hed Kandi, Spundae and The World Party among a list of others. He has recently played with The Deep Groove Society, Fractal Productions & I'll House You.
Iheanyi writes and produces original compositions, remixes notable artists such as Deborah Cox, Chaka Khan, Taka Boom, Marvin Gaye, Imagination to name a few. He also collaborates with talented singer/songerwriters, to create music in many genres including soul, funk, folk, trip-hop, house, drum n bass, cinematic and down-tempo among others. During this process Iheanyi collaborated and formed alliances that led to him running his own label. This started with him developing Baldeelox Records with another London based colleague. After that he developed Blackliquid Music. He later merged that label with yet another LA based Londoner and now has House Sound Of LA.
